It is a common complain in all over country that most of the Ayurvedic graduates are practicing with western medicines. Question is Why ? There must be some reasons behind it. Any body has think over it ?
To my mind the methods if teaching is not proper. Syllabus is lacking some thing some where. What is lacking ?
At present method of Ayurvedic education is a mere a copy of western medical science style. Means subject wise teaching is going on. Our books are subject wise constructed by our sages thousands of years ago. The fundamentals and principles of both the scienceses are different. And that is why students and teachers of Ayurved fills difficulties. Teachers are lacking to create confidence in their students And students are not getting proper knoledge. As a result they are attracting towards western medicines. Thus book wise teaching is necessary i.e. Astanggriday - Sutrasthan - Sharirsthan etc. Then Bhavpraksh , Sushrut sanhita and last Charak sanhita . Before that training to teachers is also necessary .
One another thing i would like to put to the notice that at present CCIM is the authority to prepare syllabus. This is not justified. Syllabus must be prepared by highly qualified educationalists . The appointment for this should not be political. They should be nominated from all over India .
